Robert Boyce, NP leads Happy Healthy New York (HHNY), an integrative outpatient practice focused on addiction recovery, metabolic wellness, and mental health. Robert earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and is completing post-graduate training at Stony Brook University. He is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Clinical TMS Society, and the World Association for Photobiomodulation Therapy.
Robert has dedicated his career to serving New York City’s underserved and marginalized communities. For eight years at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, he cared for patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions and was part of the critical care team that launched Bellevue’s ECMO program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Robert works in inpatient & outpatient office-based treatment for people who use drugs, where he offers long-acting buprenorphine inductions, buprenorphine micro-inductions, and other cutting-edge addiction therapies that can be difficult to access even in New York City. He is also an expert in the treatment of binge-eating disorder and obesity, and is excited to help patients on transformative weight loss journeys.
Happy Healthy New York cares for patients through an integrative framework where healing happens when mind and body are treated together. The practice combines evidence-based medicine with lifestyle interventions, emphasizing prevention, resilience, and patient empowerment.
HHNY is a certified New York State Opioid Overdose Prevention Program, and we freely offer Narcan (naloxone) overdose rescue kits, fentanyl test strips, xylazine test strips, and harm reduction supplies and education. HHNY serves patients via telehealth and in-person in our Ridgewood office.
Located on the Bushwick–Ridgewood border (Gates Ave at St. Nicholas Ave, steps from the Myrtle–Wyckoff L & M trains), the Happy Healthy New York office offers a calming, sensory-friendly space with gentle lighting, ambient soundscapes, HEPA-filtered air, and reverse-osmosis filtered water. Patients can enjoy healthy snacks and refreshments, and those receiving photobiomodulation or ketamine/esketamine treatments are offered blankets, eye masks, and headphones with active noise-cancellation.
